John is a tourism & hospitality marketing consultant. He is one of the few marketers who combines state of the art theoretical knowledge with extensive industry experience in marketing and communications.
John holds a PhD on the impacts of social media on travel related consumer behaviour from Bournemouth University, an MSc in Tourism Marketing from University of Surrey and a BSc in Business Administration from the American College of Greece.
He has over 20 years of industry experience, both in senior marketing roles and as a consultant in a range of sectors including tourism & hospitality, shipping & yachting, holiday homes real estate, but also in education, non-profit, as well as in local & regional government.
John participated in a number of international tourism consulting projects as a member of Bournemouth University’s eTourism Lab, the International Centre of Tourism & Hospitality Research, and of BU’s Digital Hub of Experts. He contributed to the development and successful completion of various E.U. / nationally funded projects with a total budget in excess of €5 million. As a lecturer, he taught undergraduate and postgraduate marketing courses in Leeds Metropolitan and Bournemouth University.
He is co-founder and director of Novus Mind Ltd, a business consulting firm assisting organizations to develop and to implement results oriented marketing strategies and programs.
